Sleepless in Seattle

I knew I was in trouble when the car wouldn’t start and Tuesday With Dorie Chocolate-Banded Ice Cream Torte was just sitting chilled solid frozen in the cold pack waiting to return from the beach and back to the city.



Hours later and a busy week, no time to create a new torte. Getting ready for the semi-annual trip to visit the in-laws in San Diego. But first stop was a jam packed weekend in Seattle to see a couple of Mariners games….



and for me a visit Pike Place Market, the oldest farmers market, eat Malpec oysters, and wild Alaskan salmon.

I Scream for ...

Blueberries and sour cream in soft serve ice cream. Tuesdays With Dorie has again come up with a winner.


Disappointed with the Cusinart Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker, not more than one large or two small servings was extracted for each session. And I admit to practicing all summer.


I settled on the ice cream scoop version. I want perfection.
